Social Work Services

  • The district’s school social worker/home and school visitor works with students experiencing social and emotional challenges, links families with community resources to minimize barriers to the learning process and consults with school personnel on ways to support students’ academic success. Our school social worker/home and school visitor assists with addressing school attendance concerns and collaborates with county and community agencies in seeking ways to resolve truancy issues.

The home and school visitor/social worker also works with our student's experiencing homelessness and provides housing resources to families in need. Please view the Education for Homeless Youth document for more information and resources.
