• May 8th Community Meeting Follow Up Communication

    We as a school district and as a community find ourselves in a pivotal moment. Recent events at our high school have given us a singular focus, so much so that we came together in unprecedented numbers at the May 8th community meeting. That evening, countless individuals not only voiced their concerns, but selflessly committed to being part of a solution. Nothing is more important than the safety of our students, our staff, and our community. Every student has the right to learn in an environment that is free from the threat of violence, intimidation, and distraction. We unquestionably and unwaveringly commit to this; it is our collective duty.   • Wyncote Elementary Multi-Cultural Night

    Wyncote celebrated our annual Multi-Cultural Night. Families came and enjoyed mini-museum displays, arts and crafts, and music. They were entertained with facts and information about the variety of cultures. There was a chance to play some games, get your name in Korean, have your hair braided, make oragami, get a henna tattoo and much more.

  • The Michael Brecker Benefit Concert

    The Cheltenham High School Jazz Big Band held a benefit concert on Friday, May 12th in honor of Mr. Michael Brecker (CHS '67). Money raised from the concert went toward Myelodysplastic Syndrome research and the band program at Cheltenham High School. Guest soloist Max Swan performed with the band to top off an evening of music performed by a wide variety of students, friends, and alumni.

Mindfulness is a way of being that creates a calm awareness in the present moment and helps us to notice our internal as well as external experiences and our thoughts and feelings with open curiosity.   • Free Youth Mental Health and Wellness Workshop

    On Saturday May 20, 2017, from 8am until 4 pm in the CHS library, the Cheltenham School District is offering a free training on Youth Mental Health First Aid, which is the help offered to a young person experiencing a mental health challenge, mental disorder, or mental health crisis. The first aid is given until appropriate help is received or until the crisis resolves
