Special Health Advisory Notice
Recent news reports regarding the Swine Influenza have generated much concern. The Montgomery County Health Department has created a Fact Sheet on the virus and a preventive tips sheet – Swine Flu and You: How to Prevent Infection. These documents can be found in the Spotlight Section of the health department’s website, www.health.montcopa.org, under Swine Flu.
Please direct specific questions and concerns regarding the Swine Influenza to a family physician or the Montgomery County Health Department at 610-278-5117. The district’s nursing staff has been provided with informational materials regarding the virus, and updated information will be posted on the District's website, as it becomes available from the Montgomery County Health Department.

REGISTRATION OF NEW STUDENTS
INTO CHELTENHAM SCHOOLS
Beginning Wednesday, June 24th and every Wednesday,
except July 1st, through September 2nd there will be
walk-in registration at the Administration Building.
Parents can register new students Kindergarten through 12th grade
between the hours of
9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon and 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Parents are required to have the following documents:
- Proof of Residency (deed, lease, property tax bill, settlement sheets). All leases should have the names of everyone residing in the home/apartment including the student(s)
- Utility bill in name of parent (i.e., electric, cable, telephone)
- Driver’s license and Registration
- Proof of immunizations*
- Copy of last report card and/or transcript
- Birth, or baptismal certificate or passport
YOU DO NOT HAVE TO CALL FOR AN APPOINTMENT AND
IT IS NOT NECESSARY FOR STUDENT(S) TO BE PRESENT
AT TIME OF ENROLLMENT
*Foreign-born students or students who have recently traveled
outside of the U.S. will be required to have a
tuberculin tine test with a negative result.
